Allen Stone — Celebrate Tonight

Earlier this morning we took a regional jet to our next location, Ahmedabad. Having spent the past week in Mumbai, Ahmedabad is a pleasant change. Gone are the urban slums, polluted waterways and monsoon rains (for now…). Ahmedabad is an agriculturally-based city with many smaller villages. It was refreshing to see an abundance of irrigated crops, banana trees, monkeys, camels and cows. We spent the day with an amazing collective of women called SEWA (www.sewa.org). We consulted their use of technology in their daily lives. It was eye-opening, humbling and inspiring to catch a glimpse into their lives!

A couple days ago, we were lucky enough to sit in on a live taping of Kaun Banega Crorepati, the Indian equivalent of Who Want’s To Be A Millionaire. (The same show featured in Slumdog Millionaire!) The taping was in Bollywood, and we were blessed with front row seats. As cool as it was to be part of the show, it took a total of 7.5 hours in the humidity, waiting for the show to start and sitting patiently during the filming. In hindsight, I don’t think it was worth it…  Look out for us in the background of the September 13th show of Kaun Banega Crorepati

Bout to go do some Laughing Yoga… this is gonna be hilarious

Raindops — Basement Jaxx

Today I had my first taste of Kingfisher Beer. The brand has a monopoly in the Domestic Beer Market. Unfortunately, I found it a bit bland an overrated.
Kingfisher is a large conglomerate company. I researched Kingfisher Airlines all summer for my Boeing Internship, and so it was interesting to finally taste one the products that I had been learning so much about.

Nonetheless, cheers to India!

My jet-lag is finally catching up with me. I believe I’m hallucinating…  and I don’t mind it toom much.
